Latest material change: The Highway Bureau announced at 17:40 on September 2 that consecutive heavy rain and a broken 400 mm water pipe caused subgrade loss and subsidence at the Shiniu Creek section of Provincial Highway 26 in Kenting. Emergency works reopened two lanes at 17:00 on September 2, providing one southbound and one northbound lane. The previous condition in which only the northbound outer lane carried one-lane two-way traffic is therefore no longer current. The Taitung Branch announced on September 3 that inspections and recovery work found the relevant facilities and trails safe, and Zhiben National Forest Recreation Area, Jiaming Lake National Trail including Xiangyang Lodge and Jiaming Lake Lodge, Dawu Ocean View Trail and Green Island Ameishan Trail will reopen on September 4. The previous preventive closures affecting related sites in Beinan, Haiduan and Dawu therefore now have a formal end point; they remain `public-service / watch` until the September 4 reopening actually takes effect and are not marked open early.

The Pingtung Branch announced on September 3 that, after consecutive days of rain, standing water at Kenting National Forest Recreation Area has not yet receded and trail mud still requires cleanup, so the area will remain closed on September 4 for environmental recovery work. Official traffic records show that at 19:55 on September 1, a landslide at County Road 60, 23.5K, toward Smangus blocked the road and left multiple vehicles unable to pass. A later update at 09:56 on September 2 states that the incident had been handled, but the segment remains under continuing alert and motorists are still advised to proceed cautiously. It should therefore no longer be marked as an active road interruption, but Jianshi should not remain plain `monitoring`; it is corrected to `transport / watch`.
