Affected Indigenous areas and alert levels: At 22:00 on September 5, the Central Weather Administration issued a heavy-rain advisory stating that, under the influence of outer typhoon cloud bands, localized heavy rain is possible in the Taitung area from the evening of September 5 into September 6. The advisory also warns of lightning, strong gusts, ponding in low-lying areas, and landslide and rockfall risks in mountain terrain. Under this Indigenous emergency-screening rule, mainland Taitung areas including Beinan, Yanping, Haiduan, Daren, Jinfeng, Taimali and Dawu, together with other directly affected Indigenous townships in Taitung County, are placed under `weather / watch`. This is a heavy-rain watch, not red and not a debris-flow or large-scale-landslide red/yellow alert. Lanyu remains `monitoring` unless it is included in the CWA's detailed within-county warning footprint; the warning must not be expanded beyond the official scope.

The latest official monitoring of the Wanli Creek barrier lake at 08:10 on September 5 reports a water elevation of 1,087.76 meters and storage of about 5.4494 million cubic meters. The dam remains intact and the lake continues to overflow stably, while forecast rainfall for both the next 12 and 24 hours is below the threshold for a new alert. However, this scan found no formal cancellation of the August 24 order that explicitly kept the river channel under red alert and closed to entry. Accordingly, `barrier-lake / red` remains limited to the Wanli Creek river-channel control zone and must not be expanded to all of Wanrong Township.

Nationwide regional assessment: In the north, no new threshold-level official change was identified for Wulai, Fuxing, Jianshi, Wufeng, Nanzhuang or Tai'an. In central Taiwan, no new threshold-level change was identified for Heping, Ren'ai, Xinyi or Alishan, which remain under monitoring. In the south, no new red alert, level-one inundation alert, Indigenous-area road interruption, evacuation, work/class suspension, transport stoppage or major public-service interruption was identified for Tainan mountain areas; Taoyuan, Namaxia and Maolin in Kaohsiung; or Sandimen, Wutai, Majia, Taiwu, Laiyi, Chunri, Shizi and Mudan in Pingtung. In the east, Datong and Nan'ao in Yilan and Xiulin and Zhuoxi in Hualien have no new weather escalation; only the Wanli Creek river-channel zone in Wanrong remains red. Mainland Taitung Indigenous areas are under `weather / watch` because of the heavy-rain advisory. The earlier Highway 20 Wulu road interruption in Haiduan was cleared at 07:15 on September 5, and no new Indigenous-area road interruption was identified in this scan.

Other official alerts: ARDSWC's latest systemwide event remains the September 1 heavy-rain event, which ended on September 2; no new debris-flow or large-scale-landslide red/yellow escalation was identified. The Directorate-General of Personnel Administration currently states there is no work/class suspension information. No new level-one inundation alert, official stream-surge notice, evacuation, sheltering, major agricultural-loss alert, water/power interruption or other Indigenous-area public-service disruption was identified.

Recommended action: In Taitung mountain areas and near streams, avoid locations prone to rockfall, landslides or rapid water-level rises, and check CWA and road-authority information before travel. Affected Indigenous areas and alert levels: The CWA's current heavy-rain and weather-warning pages no longer list Taitung County, or any other county, under an active heavy-rain advisory. The overnight `weather / watch` for Beinan, Yanping, Haiduan, Daren, Jinfeng, Taimali, Dawu and other directly affected Indigenous areas in Taitung is therefore cleared, while Lanyu remains under ordinary `monitoring`. This is the end of a weather watch only; it does not change the existing Wanli Creek river-channel red alert.

The latest confirmed official monitoring for the Wanli Creek barrier lake remains the September 5 08:10 report: the dam is intact, overflow remains stable, impacts are confined to the river channel, and forecast rainfall was below the threshold for a new alert.
