Affected Indigenous areas and alert levels:

• Wanrong Township, Hualien / Wanli Creek: The Public Warning Platform lists a Wanli Creek barrier-lake notice effective from 08:00 to 20:00. The official message says overflow is currently stable, but uncertainty and potential risk remain. The public must not enter the county-designated alert zone around the Wanli Creek embankment and riverbed. Status: barrier-lake / watch, not red.
• Nature of the notice: The platform category is “Evacuation and Shelter,” but the text itself announces access controls and risk avoidance. It does not report a resident evacuation order or shelter activation and must not be expanded into such a claim.
• Slope alerts: At 12:07, the Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation dashboard showed zero red and zero yellow debris-flow alerts and zero red and zero yellow large-scale-landslide alerts. This Wanli Creek watch is not a debris-flow or large-scale-landslide red/yellow alert.
• Other monitoring: The CWA listed no active heavy-rain, land strong-wind or severe-thunderstorm warning. The Water Resources Agency listed no inundation or river-level alert.
